Visit a local village in Larnaca district and take part in a Charcoal & Paper Making experience! The workshop day begins at 10:00 with a warm, communal welcome reception featuring local snacks and authentic Cypriot coffee. During this morning gathering, you will meet your master artisan host and fellow culture-enthusiasts, setting a relaxed, friendly and collaborative tone for the day ahead.
At 10.30 you will enter the vibrant local art studio where the artisan introduces you to the workshop space. He will explain all the specialized hand tools and demonstrate safety procedures.
With the expert guidance of your host, you will learn the foundational techniques of charcoal drawing and paper making. At 12.00, you will pause to walk over to the charming village tavern. There, you will taste authentic Cypriot cuisine and traditional dishes, halloumi cheese and slow-cooked mountain delicacies packed with authentic Mediterranean flavors. By 15.00 o’clock, with renewed energy, you will finish your art creations to take back home as a souvenir or gift to beloved ones.
You will celebrate your creative achievements with a farewell coffee and photo session, to capture the perfect memories of your mountain adventure. Before departing this magical Cypriot village, you will enjoy dedicated free time to visit a neighboring local craft center and regional art studio. This is the perfect opportunity to meet other village artisans, browse handmade treasures and purchase authentic artwork and souvenirs.
