A Creative Village Session: Paint Your Own Tote Bag in Cyprus Nature
This is an art experience located in a beautiful village in Larnaca district...
August 18, 2026

Your day starts at the charming village studio in the morning, meeting your local hosts and learning the fascinating history of paper and charcoal production on the island. First, you will select natural plant fibers and prepare vine branches for the charcoal making process. Next, you will immerse your hands in the pulping vats, filtering natural fibers onto deckle screens to create uniquely textured, eco-friendly paper sheets.

At lunchtime, you will sit down with your hosts to enjoy a traditional Cypriot meal, chatting about local culture, nature, and village life. After lunch, you will test out your homemade charcoal sticks directly on your fresh handmade paper, creating a completely natural drawing to take home as a meaningful souvenir. This is more than a simple crafting class; it is a peaceful, eco-conscious connection to the roots and land of Cyprus.
The experience takes place in a scenic village in the Larnaca district, running for six relaxing hours. It welcomes small groups of two to eight participants aged ten and above. Everything is included: welcome coffee and snacks, all natural paper and charcoal crafting tools, expert instruction, a full traditional Cypriot lunch and your handmade paper and charcoal creations to take home.
